Snow-themed train takes passengers to ski

Yabuli, a ski resort in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province has launched snow-themed train services between the provincial capital Harbin and the resort.

The K7047/8 train departs from the Harbin railway station at 6:20 am and returns from the Yabuli station at 4:51 pm. A one-way trip takes two hours and 35 minutes.

The train consists of coaches painted with snow-related themes such as children playing in the snow, ice and snow sports and snowflakes floating in a blue sky.

It has extra space to store skis, snowboards and bulky luggage and also loans out children's gloves and scarves free of charge.

Information about local ski resorts, hotels and tickets is also available onboard the train.

The train services are provided by the China Railway Harbin Group in cooperation with the resort.

Yabuli is one of the most famous ski resorts in China, drawing millions of tourists every year.
