This painting has one thing in common with the previous year's "Yellow Sea Smoke and Haze": it is full of color and ink. When Li Keran revolutionized Chinese landscape painting, he repeatedly considered how to enhance the expressive power of color in ink painting. Because the expressive power of color and its ability to render atmosphere are irreplaceable in ink and wash. This painting "Smoky Haze of the Yellow Sea" uses a strong contrast between vermilion and indigo to express the beauty of the Yellow Mountains, while this painting "Smoky Haze of the Yellow Mountains" uses a uniform ochre red tone to paint the fantasy of the smoke of the Yellow Mountains and the grandeur of the color of heaven and earth, with layers and layers of dark and heavy mountain shadows making the golden-red tone more magnificent and brilliant.
