Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the selection results of the 2024 Jiangsu Provincial Stage Art Boutique Creation Support Drama. Among them, the large-scale Bangzi opera "Dayun River · Hubushan" created and arranged by Jiangsu Bangzi Theater, produced by Xuzhou Performing Arts Group, was selected.

It successfully premiered at China University of Mining and Technology in March 2024.
The whole drama tells the story of Xu Yumin, the head of a Huizhou merchant family in Hubushan, Xuzhou, on the banks of the Grand Canal in the late Qing Dynasty. She overcomes difficulties and throws away her family wealth to invest in the construction of the Jinpu Railway, while foreign capital such as Britain and Germany covet China's road rights.
The play has been selected for the Jiangsu Arts Fund's 2023 large-scale stage play funding project and the list of newly created plays for the 2024 Purple Gold Culture and Arts Festival.
In recent years, the three major "national level" intangible cultural heritage projects of Xuzhou Bangzi, Jiangsu Liuqin Opera, and Xuzhou Qinshu have produced numerous excellent plays.
