Description

Located out of the south gate of Han Culture Scenery Spot, the Sculpture Square occupied an area of 19,000 square meters. The group carving is 50 meters long, 20 meters wide and 12 meters high. With granite as the pedestal, the sculpture adopts the combination of bronze statue and granite ones as the manifestation form. The sculpture creation is based on historical information, which has the means of partial extraction as the basic elements of the sculpture creation and simultaneously depends on the grade specification of King Chu who traveled as a feudal lord king. It echoes with King Chu Tombs. The carving group mainly describes the scene of the Han relief stone sculpture, Traveling by Horses and Carriages, constituted by 8 bronze horses, 3 stone horses, 9 bronze figures and 2 stone figures. There are 3 warriors riding on horses clearing the way in the front, King Chu sitting in a four-horse carriage in the middle and the prime minister riding a cart and two warriors riding horses guarding in the rear. The whole carving group is located in the center of the square, facing the east.
